Coast-to-Coast Solutions: BNSF and CSX Launch New Intermodal Services

BNSF, in collaboration with CSX, is excited to announce several new intermodal service products that will offer customers seamless, efficient, coast-to-coast solutions to ship between the western and eastern U.S.

New services will include:

  • The introduction of new long-haul direct domestic intermodal services between Southern California and Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, FL.
  • In addition, new service will also be launched between Phoenix, AZ and Atlanta, GA, aiming to convert over-the-road (OTR) freight to rail through a seamless product between the two railroads.
  • The introduction of new direct international intermodal services between Kansas City and the Port of New York and New Jersey, and Norfolk, Virginia.
     

Our new services will offer immediate value for our customers today by increasing flexibility and optionality while delivering integrated service for freight moving across the U.S. Between Phoenix and Flagstaff, two new 10,000-foot sidings will bolster this growing market by enabling more efficient operations on our Phoenix Subdivision.

The Phoenix to Atlanta service is available as of today, with the other new services beginning in September. For further details, please reach out to your BNSF marketing representative.
